Magnify

Quickly magnify part of the screen.

Click and hold down the left mouse button and drag a selection box around the area you want to magnify. When you release the mouse button, the selected area fills the window. (To make the area smaller, use Zoom in the View menu or the Zoom option on the Tool Bar.)

TIP: If the view in the Scantron DesignExpert workspace seems "fractured" after using the Magnify Tool, go to the Window menu and select Refresh.

Rotate

Rotate box, caption text (baseline), ellipse, line, and polygon shapes.

  1. With the rotate tool active, click a shape. A rotation "wrench" appears centered on the shape.
  2. Place the mouse pointer on rotation wrench, and click and hold the left mouse button.
  3. Drag the handle in the direction you wish to rotate the shape.

When you release it the Angle box in the Tool Bar is updated with the number of degrees you rotated the shape from its original position.

Grid Wizard...

TIP: When you create a text box that will be placed to the left-hand side of an OMR response grid, do not locate it edge to edge with the OMR response grid. Instead, provide a space between the two shapes of at least half a response position. This design strategy will help make your form easier to use and avoid the possibility of text inadvertently overlapping OMR response bubbles.
