iNAME Configuration - Images To Archive Definition Screen
for Image Scanner Implementation Only

This iNAME configuration dialog enables you to select images to archive, at scan-time, from the list of available images in your application. It appears after you select iNAME Configuration from the Application module Options menu and indicated that you do not want to model your configuration on an existing one from another application. You can also select Images To Archive on the iNAME Configuration - Paths and Indexes Screen.

Available Images to Archive

This is the list of images that are available to archive in your application. It contains Document, Field, and Grid (if any) information for each image, in that order. For example, Doc "100 Item GPAS - 223022" Field "Sheet 1 Top" is an image provided with the ScanTools 801 - Sample Application.

There are two ways to select an image for archiving:

In both cases, the Enter Image to Archive Information dialog opens to edit the selected image information.

You can select one image at a time.

NOTE: If you Enable Conditional Clipping for Image Archiving for a graybox, an image clip will not be taken for the graybox clip region if it does not contain data. In such a case, the file name in the archive index will be set to *NOT TAKEN***. However, clipping for edit failures overrides conditional clipping. If a graybox edit produces a clip, the clip will be archived, whether conditional clipping is enabled or not.

Selected Images to Archive

This is the list of images that you select to archive in your application. It contains Document, Field, and Grid (if any) information for each image. In addition, either "Doc Parameters" or "Grid Parameters" is included to indicate whether the image format parameters were defined in the Image Clips dialog (whole sheet) or the Clip Attibutes dialog (individual clips). There are two ways to edit the image information:

In both cases, the Enter Image to Archive Information dialog will open where you can edit the selected image information.

You can select one image at a time.

Image Order

For multi-image TIFFs, iNAME sorts Selected Images To Archive by Document and then by Sheet. For each sheet, the archive order for top sheet side, bottom sheet side, and sparse clips is based on the order in which you select images. This applies to whole-sheet and sparse clips.

For single image TIFFs, iNAME sorts Selected Images To Archive by Document and then by Sheet and then by Side.

CAUTION: Sparse clipping of software bar codes and, with iNAME, of grayboxes, is not compatible with use of absolute (.001 in or .01 mm) or Hybrid units of measurement. See Grid Measurement dialog - Unit of Measurement.
