Creating a Graybox Grid

Use the following steps to create a new standard graybox or ICR/OCR graybox in one operation:

  1. Click New in the Fields area of the Application Module window. The Output Field Entry dialog appears.
  2. Enter a field Name and Type and then Click OK.
  3. Click the Graybox Tool button on the Application Module window. The Graybox tool dialog appears.
  4. Enter a Cutoff Value.
  5. Enter an Output Length.

CAUTION: Enter Cutoff Value and Output Length before selecting Grid Measurement or before drawing your graybox in the grid definition area.

  1. Click Clip Attributes, if desired, to open the Clip Attributes dialog where you can define clip attributes for your graybox.
  2. Click ICR/OCR Parameters, if desired, to open the Set Values for ICR/OCR Graybox series of dialogs where you can define character recognition parameters for your graybox. This selection is only available if you have installed the RealTime Character Recognition option.
  3. Click either Standard Graybox or ICR/OCR Graybox Resolution.
  4. Define Graybox size and location. You can use one of three methods available to do this:
