This dialog box is accessed when you click the Defaults button on the Application Settings dialog. Use this dialog box to define default values that are in effect for an application when you first select it after you have installed it. The set of values you select here is called the Default Application Context for the application.
However, once you change any of the items on the Main Window file bar, data file and profiles, or in the Options dialogs, a newer Current Application Context is automatically created. This context is used the next time you select the application on the Main Window. There is no way to automatically return to the Default Application Context settings in the scanning screen. If you need to reinstate the defaults for the application, you should delete the application and re-install it. For more information see Deleting an Application and Installing an Application.
Exceptions:
To view the Default Application Context definition from the Main Window, select View on the Application menu. The View Application dialog box appears.
Establishes a "current" data file selection. Enter a data file name to be used if any of the default Options (scanning, editing, and conversions) are set to "Use Current" for a data file selection.
Establishes a "current" edit profile selection. Enter an edit profile name to be used if the default Edit Options are set to "Use Current" for an edit profile selection.
Establishes a "current" score profile selection. Enter a score profile name to be used if the Score Options are set to "Use Current" for a score profile selection.
NOTE: You cannot define default Score Options in the application defaults. Score options can only be set through the Score Options dialog box, which is accessed from the Options menu of the ScanTools Main Window.
Establishes a "current" conversion profile selection. Enter a conversion profile name to be used if the default Conversion Options are set to "Use Current" for a conversion profile selection.
This applies only to the very next time the application is selected in the Main Window. This is a convenient way for an application developer to update the default context on an application that is currently installed. Only application developers should use this.
If this is checked, the filenames and options defined here in the application module will automatically be selected the next time this application is used from the Main Window. This means that the default application context currently defined will override whatever selections are currently used in the scanning screen.
If this is not checked, for an application that is already installed, the Main Window current context remains in effect. The next time the application is used in from Main Window, the existing current context is used, not the default application defaults
Use these buttons to define default editing, scanning, and conversion options. Each button takes you to the same option screen that you access from the Main Window. Reminder: Setting these options as defaults in the application module cause the options to be in effect the first time these operations occur after the application has been installed. Once you change any of the options in the Main Window, the new options are in effect, not the default options.
Edit button goes to Edit Options
Scanning button goes to Scanning Options
Conversion button goes to Conversion Options
