Conversion Options Dialog Box

Specify what file name the converted file should have. Options are:

• Use default name: Name the conversion output file using the current data file name with the output format’s file extension. This can be useful if scanned files are usually processed in batches and the converted files go to the same location.

For example, the data file name is batch1.dat and the conversion operation is set up to generate a Delimited ASCII DLM output format. The output file will have the name batch1.dlm.

• Use other: Specify a different file name. Either:
  • Enter the drive, path, and file name of the conversion output file directly in the adjoining text box.
  • Click Browse to select an existing file or enter a new file name in the appropriate box in this dialog box. Click OK to return to this dialog box. The selected path and filename now appear in the text box.

This can be useful if each scanned file must be converted and saved to a specific location.

CAUTION: This file name is used for every batch scanned for this application. If you are defining an application, do not use this method without selecting Display the options dialog boxes on the Preferences dialog box OR clearing Replace existing files (below) if you are scanning in batches where the files should go to the same location.
