Options dialog - Modify Data File

This dialog appears when you open a data file, see Opening a Data File, and click the Options button on the Modify Data File dialog.

Show NCS Header

Check this box to see the NCS Header information in the edit window. Each part of the header information is listed separately and labeled. For example:

Application number

801

Serial number

000001

Batch number

001

Date scanned

07/28/04

Document number

001

   etc.

 

If this box is left unchecked, the NCS Header raw data still appears. For example:

NCS Header 801000001001072804001N 5360 #0001 N

Show Spaces

Check this box to display each space in an output field using a dot (§) character. This shows how many blank spaces are in an output field.

Heading Line Font

Click this button to display the standard Microsoft Windows Font dialog where you can set the font used for all headings (the words "Serial Number", "NCS Header", <field names>, etc.) in the edit window.

Data Line Font

Click this button to display the standard Microsoft Windows Font dialog where you can set the font used for all data (header contents, output field contents, etc.) in the edit window.
