Enter Literal String To Be Used In Item
for Image Scanner Implementation Only

This dialog enables you to enter a literal string that will be part of a directory, filename, or index format string. For example, if you have entered a path name in the Archive Base Directory Path section of the iNAME Configuration - Paths and Indexes Screen and want to also use a variable directory path, you can use Enter Literal String To Be Used In Item to enter a "\" (backslash character) in the Archive Variable Directory Path section of the same dialog. Then, follow the "\" with a format string for a variable directory name.

Enter a literal string to be included in the directory, filename, or index format string.

Characters Used = __ of __ Available

The number of characters you select in this dialog appear, followed by the number of remaining characters you can enter in the entire format string.
