for Image Scanner Implementation Only

This dialog appears when you Add or Edit a Field Data format string in one of the Build Format String dialogs. It enables you to select or modify the field in your application to be used as a directory, filename, or index format string source in your archive.

Field area

The field area lists available fields in your application output record plus the NCS Header. Fields are listed in alphabetical order. The only available fields listed for you to select are those that are in the same location in all record formats, are of the same field length, and have the same field name for the documents from which iNAME image archiving is taking clips. If a field is not listed, it does not meet this requirement.

NOTE: Field names are case sensitive. For example, "NAME" and "name" are unique field names.

CAUTION: If you select the NCS Header, do NOT select character numbers 24, 30, 31, 32, 33, or 40 for iNAME use. They can generate special characters that cannot be used properly in creating file names, causing an error.
