Enter Field Translation for Inclusion in Item
for Image Scanner Implementation Only

This dialog creates a translate table for directory, filename, and index format strings. It appears when you select Define Translation in the Select Field Containing Data To Be Used In The Item dialog. This enables you to use a format string you define instead of a string that consists of field data.

From String (Length Must Be __) area

The From String area lists all of the field data entries you define for your translate table in the Enter Translate Table Entry dialog. The length of the string you enter must be the same for all entries, based on the field length you specified in the Select Field Containing Data To Be Used In The Item dialog. Once entered, the translation cannot be edited. If you need to modify it, you must remove it and add a new translation.

To String area

The To String area lists all of the translations you define for your translate table in the Enter Translate Table Entry dialog.

Add Translation

Select Add Translation to open the Enter Translate Table Entry dialog where you can define a translation.

Remove Translation

Select a translation entry to be removed in either the From String or To String area and then select Remove Translation to delete it.
