Download a Command File

You download a command file to your scanner by selecting the Download button, or by selecting Download/Translate Command File from the Actions Menu on the Download Utility main window.

After the file is downloaded, the scanner translates the command file and confirms the successful completion of the download process.

NOTE: If you download a command file that contains no document information, the specified application (if present) is removed from the scanner’s application memory. This condition occurs when the only statements in the command file are APL (application) and END. This can happen when you Generate a Download Command File and skip all the documents, or have a command file that is too large and truncate it before a document is included.

If Errors occur in the download process, a message appears detailing the error and showing the raw scanner return (code).
