for Image Scanner Implementation Only

iNAME Integration

iNAME image archiving, including the iNAME Merge function, is integrated with Plus software. If you are developing a new iNAME image archiving application, you can:

If you are running an existing iNAME image archiving application, we recommend you update your iNAME implementation to take advantage of the ease of operation provided by the new, integrated interface.

See iNAME Image Archiving Overview , Application Definition for Scan-Time Archiving with iNAME, and Scanning with iNAME Scan-Time Image Archiving for additional information.

iNAME Configuration - Application Selection Screen

If desired, you can continue to run iNAME Image Archive Utility and iNAME Merge Utility as you have in the past:

This iNAME configuration dialog appears after you have launched iNAME Configuration.exe, the iNAME Image Archive Utility program. You should only use this program if you are using an existing application that uses the iNAME Image Archive Utility. Run the Utility in the same fashion as before.

Application Path

Check the location of your application files; these are files with the extension .sds. By default, iNAME Image Application Utility uses the location where is normally installed. If this is not the location of the application files you want to access, you can navigate to a different location. Once selected, this location is retained by the utility for future use.

Browse

Use the Browse button if the application files are not in the location currently displayed.

Select Application

Use the down arrow to view all applications in the path. Select the application you want to use.

Select App

After the application name appears in the Select Application box, use the Select App button. If you are using an application that was created in an earlier version of software (DOS or Windows environment), it MUST be saved in the newer format before you can use it with the iNAME Image Archive Utility. For details on how this is done, see Migrating Applications From Earlier Versions of Software.

If your iNAME configuration (*.ini) file is complete and correct, the application you select appears in the Selected Application Number area.

If your iNAME configuration (*.ini) file is incomplete or incorrect, the Uncorrected Errors Encountered During Load of the Configuration dialog appears with a list of errors for you to address. The configuration is unusable until they are fixed.

Selected Application Number

The application you select appears here.

Paths & Indexes

Select Paths & Indexes to open the iNAME Configuration - Paths & Indexes Screen where you can define or modify the parameters of image archive directories, filenames, indexes, file types, file formats, and index entries to be included in the index file that is generated during scanning.

Images to Archive

Select Images to Archive to open the iNAME Configuration - Images To Archive Definition Screen where you can select the images you want to archive during scanning.
