Document Menu - Application Designer Module

1. Select Document > New….
2. Specify the initial document properties. See Define New Document Dialog for details.
3. Click Done.

You can always change the document properties after you create it. See Document and Sheet Properties Dialog - General Tab for details.

1. Select Document > Import ScanTools Document….
2. Locate and select a different ScanTools application.
3. Click Open.
4. Select a document from the list of documents available in the application.
5. Click OK.

1. Select a document from the Document list in the toolbar.
2. Select Document > Properties….
3. Define any general properties. See Document and Sheet Properties Dialog - General Tab for details.
4. Click Apply.

TIP: You don't have to click Apply after each tab, but we recommend doing so, to save your settings.

5. Click Clip and define any clip properties. See Document and Sheet Properties Dialog - Clips Tab for details.
6. Click Apply.
7. Click Background and define any background properties. See Document and Sheet Properties Dialog - Background Tab for details.
8. Click Done.

NOTE: Only set these criteria if your application will be used with a scanner that has the optional Select Stacker attachment. A scanner that has this optional feature must be attached to the computer you are using to define the application to set some of these options.

1. Select a document from the Document list in the toolbar.
2. Select Document > Stacker….
3. Specify the criteria that determine which scanned forms go to which Select Stacker output hopper.
4. Click OK.

1. Select a document from the toolbar.
2. Click Document > Archive Indices….
3. Click a field in the Fields list and click .
4. Repeat Step 3 until each field you want used as an archive index entry appears on the Indices list.

TIP: To remove a field from the Indices list, select a field and click .

5. After the archive index entry list is complete, click OK.
6. Repeat these steps for each document in the application.

1. Select Document > Manage Translate Tables….
2. Add, edit, or delete the available translate tables. See Manage Translate Tables Dialog for details and instructions.
3. Click OK.
