Document Menu - Application Designer Module

The Document menu provides a set of controls that affect the documents in the open application.

What's on the menu?

Use this menu item… …to…

New…

Create a new document in the application. See Define New Document Dialog for details.
Import ScanTools Document…

Import an existing ScanTools document from another application. See How do I, below, and Select Document to Import Dialog for details.

Delete… Delete a document from the application. See Document Delete Dialog for details.
Properties…

Define or change the following properties for a document:

Stacker…

If your scanner includes the optional Select Stacker option to send sheet to separate output bins, set the criteria that determines which forms go to which output hopper. See Stacker Select Dialog for details.

NOTE: Only set these criteria if your application will be used with a scanner that has the optional Select Stacker attachment. A scanner that has this optional feature must be attached to the computer you are using to define the application to set some of these options.

Archive Indices…

Define fields to be used as an archive index for post-scan archiving. See Archive Indices Dialog for details.
Manage Translation Tables… Define how specific bubbles into a grid are translated into data when you scan the document. These tables can be used in any document in the application. See Manage Translate Tables Dialog for details.
