The Scanner Configurationdialog is accessed from the ScanTools Main Window Configure menu. From this dialog you select the scanner that ScanTools software is controlling and the parameters your computer uses to communicate with it.

EZData Scanners: If the EZData scanner is the only scanner connected to the personal computer, ScanTools software will automatically select it as the Scanner Model and detect which COM port it is on. No other Communications parameters are needed for the EZData scanner.
OpScan iNSIGHT, 5000i, iNSIGHT, and OpScan Scanners: Any time you change scanners or equipment on the scanner, you need to make the settings in this dialog match the scanner you are using.
EZData Scanners: When the EZData scanner is the configured scanner and you disconnect it from the personal computer, the Scanner Model is automatically changed to None when you exit and re-launch ScanTools Plus.
