Scanner Object Summary

The Scanner object represents the active scanner; its location on the PC, current state, and hardware configuration. The scanner currently configured in ScanTools Plus software is the active scanner. Scanner is returned as a parameter to ScanningManager.ActiveScanner property.

Properties

Type and Description

Configuration It provides a way to persist the scanner configuration parameters to a string. Web solutions can save this in a cookie or on their home site for the next time around. The first instance calls the FindAndConfigureScannerAsync method.

HardwareConfig

HardwareConfig, returns a reference to the hardware configuration of the active scanner. Changes made are processed on the next call to Scan or Diagnose.

Port

L_PORT_ENUM, physical or logical port to which active scanner is attached.

State

L_SCANNER_STATE_ENUM, a scanner has been configured, autoconfigured, or not responding.

Method

 

GetScannerConfig

Returns a copy of an object of type HardwareConfig that holds the hardware configuration of the active scanner.
