Installed Sample Programs Overview

The ScanTools Plus Link SDK installation includes sample programs for Data Services and Scanning Services. They are installed under the folder, Scanner\ScanTools Plus Link SDK\Samples.

NOTE: These sample requires requires Visual Studio 2010.

NOTE: We strongly recommend you use the default installation location because the sample programs installed require this location. If you change the installation location, you must make changes in the sample program code files.

These samples are programming source code projects, and must built to run. The instructions for building them are contained in the topic for each sample.

All samples require the following:

NOTE: The sample programs were written for the purpose of demonstrating the ScanTools Plus Link SDK functionality only, and are not intended to represent the most efficient programming practices or features. You may use or adapt the code to meet your needs. No warranties on sample applications.

The samples show both OMR and imaging data, using iNSIGHT, 5000i, and iNSIGHT image scanners. The sample program can run on an OMR-only EZData scanner, in which case no image data is available.
