Edit Failure dialog

This dialog appears during scanning when the following conditions are met:

The Edit Failure dialog allows you to view failed data of a document based on the Edit Profile selected. This gives you the opportunity to correct the error on the sheet and re-scan. Unlike Online Edit Correction, this dialog does NOT allow you to correct the data electronically.

The edit failures are listed in the order in which they are encountered during scanning.

Field

The name of the field failing the edit.

Failed Edit

A description of the edit option that failed.

For example: Must be complete (.9.9) is a 4-digit field missing the first and third digits. Check the sheet and correct it accordingly.

Recovery

If you are using an OpScan iNSIGHT 70/150, 5000i, iNSIGHT 20, or iNSIGHT 30 scanner, a suggested recovery procedure is provided.

Accept As Is

Click the Accept As Is button if you want have the data written to the record as it appears, without correcting the sheet. Doing this causes scanning to resume and the document is processed as if it had not failed the edit. If the error that caused the edit failure requires correction (Correction Mandatory), this button is not available for use. In this case, you must correct the error(s) on the sheet and rescan.

Rescan Sheet

Click the Rescan Sheet button after you have corrected the error(s) on the sheet and you want to continue by rescanning the sheet.

Rescan Booklet

Click the Rescan Booklet button after you have corrected the error(s) on a sheet that is part of a booklet and you want to continue by rescanning the entire booklet.

Another use for this button is if you want ScanTools software to ignore the entire booklet, remove all booklet sheets from the input hopper and output stacker, then click this button. Scanning will resume with the next document in the input hopper.

Stop Scanning

Click the Stop Scanning button to stop the scanning process.
