Image Enable Disable Utility Overview
for Image Scanner Implementation Only

During the installation of ScanTools software, a utility program, Image Enable Disable Utility.exeis also installed in the same location as ScanTools software. The default directory is: C:\Program Files\Scantron\ScanTools Plus.

This utility allows you to change three application settings in one or more ScanTools applications without having to open each application separately.

NOTE: Image functions such as the Image Enable Disable Utility can be defined in any ScanToolsprogram. You can implement your application with OMR technology scanners and plan for future Image technology scanner use.

Selecting Files from Earlier Versions of ScanTools Software

If the applications you select are from earlier versions of ScanTools software and have not been migrated to the newer ScanToolsformat, this utility automatically migrates and saves them in the newer software format.

Migrated File Backward Compatibility

Application Migration Options

You do not receive the Application Migration Options dialog when using this utility program. If you need the functions available during Migration, first migrate the application, and then use this utility. See Migrating Applications from Earlier Versions of ScanTools Software for more information.

The application settings that you can change using this utility affect all sheets of all documents in the application. The three application settings that you can change with the Image Enable Disable Utility are:

As noted above, Image functions can be defined in any ScanTools program. You can implement your application with OMR technology scanners and plan for future Image technology scanner use.

This utility lets you do the following:

  1. Select the applications you want to change.
  2. Select the three application settings listed above; whatever you select applies to all applications selected.
  3. Convert (save) the applications with the new settings applied.
  4. Automatically create a backup file of the application file(s), with the previous settings.
