Clip Attributes Dialog Box

To reach this dialog box, click Clip Attributes on any of the following dialog boxes in the application definition.

Use this dialog box to specify sparse clip information for the selected grid.. Sparse clips are used for archiving part of a sheet, when you need to save the original image as well as any data captured from it. See Understanding Archiving, below, for details.

NOTE: If you checked Clipping Mode = Whole Sheet is selected in the Image Clips dialog box,Capture Entire Sheet in the Clips tab of the Document and Sheet Properties dialog box, the only items available in this dialog box are the Archive options—you cannot specify sparse clipping properties. This is because when you capture the entire sheet, the individual clips are obtained from the image clip of the whole sheet. The properties for each clip are taken from the choices made for the whole sheet.

When creating a new grid, most clip attributes default to those of the last selected grid if the same Tool (Bar Code, Graybox, or OMR) is being used. For example, if you define two OMR grids in sequence, clip attributes carry over; however, if you define an OMR grid followed by a bar code grid, clip attributes do not carry over. Archive this Clip and File Name Suffix attributes are blank in either case.
