SessionInfo.MarkThreshold property

Read-Write Property.

Type: L_MARKTHRESH_ENUM

Determines how dark a mark on a form must be before the scanner detects it. It is equivalent to the Threshold dropdown list on the Scanner Control Tab on the Scanning options dialog.

CAUTION: For SelfScore scanners, OMR mark threshold, mark discrimination cutoff, form ID mark threshold, and litho-code mark threshold are set by the scanner. Mark threshold can be set via the SelfScore scanner's control panel; the other values are predetermined. If your application settings differ from the SelfScore scanner settings, the application settings are overridden and no warning message is displayed to the user.

IDL

propget, HRESULT MarkThreshold([out, retval] L_MARKTHRESH_ENUM *pVal);

propput, HRESULT MarkThreshold([in] L_MARKTHRESH_ENUM newVal);

Values

L_MARKTHRESH_INAPP (Default)

Use the mark threshold value configured in the application.

L_MARKTHRESH_SELFSCORE

Use the SelfScore scanner’s mark threshold value. See CAUTION above.

L_MARKTHRESH_LIGHT

Accept very light marks. Same a threshold value of 3.

L_MARKTHRESH_NORMAL

This is the setting to use for most normal scanning tasks. Same as threshold value of 5.

L_MARKTHRESH_DARK

Causes ScanTools Plus to accept only very heavy marks. Same as threshold value of 7.

Some application definitions enable you to select numeric values for the mark threshold. The higher the number, the darker the mark must be to be considered a valid mark. Valid values are:

L_MARKTHRESH_3

L_MARKTHRESH_4

L_MARKTHRESH_5

L_MARKTHRESH_6

L_MARKTHRESH_7

L_MARKTHRESH_8

L_MARKTHRESH_9

L_MARKTHRESH_10
