For large metadata files, downloading each time can be onerous especially if the connection is not very fast. On the other hand, clearing the download cache might be reasonable for small metadata files.
Keep the size of the metadata files limited just to the documents that you are actually scanning. Avoid creating a one size fits all large application definition file. Cached metadata that was not deleted lives indefinitely on the local computer.
Users can clear the Internet cache using Internet Explorer.
For this version of Link, only application definition files (SDS) and profiles can be downloaded. Other metadata like background image files are not downloaded.
Default value is true.
| true | SessionInfo deletes all downloaded metadata files when it is released. The tradeoff is security versus user experience. |
