This dialog is used when creating or editing a score profile. It is accessed when the magnifying glass cursor appears over the Score Profile File Name line and you press the left mouse button. It allows you to enter a new name, or select from a list of existing names.
Type in the name of a new score profile, using a maximum of 24 characters. A profile name can contain alphanumeric characters, but CANNOT include any of the following special characters:
: " | < > ? / *
Also, valid DOS device names should NOT be used such as:
aux, com1, com2, com3 com4, con, lpt1, lpt2, lpt3
Under the File Name entry line is a list of existing profiles. This list is accessed from the ScanTools profile subdirectory defined in the Paths dialog. You can select an existing name from the list. If you use the existing name without changing it, you will overwrite the contents of the existing profile. You see a warning message if you have major deletes checked in your Confirmation settings. If you change the name to a new name, the existing profile is retained, and the new one is saved under the new name.
