ScanFlex Rules for Success - Test with Your ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex Application

If You Are Using a MergePrint Utility Application

We recommend performing ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex application testing before starting the MergePrint Utility with PrintFlex print production process. This testing cannot be performed with MergePrint Utility software; it requires ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex software version 6.1 or later, the ScanTools Plus application, and a Scantron Image scanner.

If You Are Using Scantron Design Expert without a MergePrint Utility Application

Perform ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex application testing after you have successfully tested your forms with the Forms Design Checklist, the ScanFlex Alignment Guide, and the ScanTools Plus Sheet Image Diagnostic. These tests help you identify and eliminate form design and printing problems.

It is impossible to reliably test your ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex application until you have first eliminated errors caused by improper form design, incorrect printer alignment, or laser printing that is too light or too dark.

TIP: While testing, be alert for errors that may be due to form design or printing problems. For example, data in blank response grids or multiple marks in grids that are properly marked may be an indication that your laser printing color or screen percentage is too dark. If tLeahhis occurs, you may need to revisit the Forms Design Checklist, ScanFlex Alignment Guide tests, and ScanTools Plus Sheet Image Diagnostic tests.

We recommend that you complete ScanTools Plus with ScanFlex application testing before you start your PrintFlex print production process.
