This dialog appears when you are creating or editing an edit profile that contains item data. Item data refers to fields set up in the application module with a data type of 1-Digit Response or 2-Digit Response. Fields set up as item data have two edit field options that use this: Allowable Omits and Allowable Multiples. When you move your mouse cursor over these edit field options, the cursor changes to a magnifying glass. If you click while the magnifying glass appears, you will display this dialog.
For item data, select the maximum number of multiples or omits that are allowed in the grid associated with this output field. The record will fail edit verification when the number of multiples or omits exceed the maximum value entered here.
Maximum Omits: |
The maximum number of omitted responses allowed. An omitted response is a condition where an item has been left blank. Use the adjoining spin control to select the desired value. The number you enter must not exceed the number of characters in the field. |
Maximum Multiple Marks: |
The maximum number of responses with multiple marks allowed. A multiple mark is a condition where more than one response position in a response position string is marked. This is the equivalent of marking more than one answer for the same question. Use the adjoining spin control to select the desired value. |
