The ClipAttributes structure also contains a member: BitoneEdgeContrastEnhancement, which is of type VARIANT_BOOL. See the NOTE under ClipAttributes for handling that Boolean.
For Bitone Clips Only; ClipDepth is Bitone: Allows you to obtain or set the state of the Bitone Edge Contrast Enhancement feature for the clip. This feature removes shadows around dark text and other dark areas, removes shadows from white text on black backgrounds, and outlines dark text on shaded backgrounds in white. Enabling this feature may negatively affect the speed at which sheets are scanned.
This is the same setting as the Bitone Edge Contrast Enhancement in the ScanTools Plus Application Definition Clip Attributes or Image Clips dialogs.
