ClipHelper.Background Offset property

Read-Write property.

Type: Long

For 256 Grayscale Clips Only: ClipDepth is 8Bit or 8BitFull: Allows you to obtain or set the number to be added to the Upper Grayscale Filter used by ScanTools Plus software. The resulting value is used as the grayscale level for all pixels whose grayscale level is above the original Upper Grayscale Filter. This feature can be used to reduce the contrast between the kept full range grayscale below the Upper Grayscale Filter in grayscale level and the brighter single grayscale level background. This can be helpful in reducing eyestrain while viewing the image. If this property is not used for a 256 Grayscale image, the background will be set to the fully white 255 grayscale value.

This property is only used when Enable Background Offset property is True.

This is the same setting as the Background Offset in the ScanTools Plus Application Definition Image Clips and Clip Attributes dialogs.
