Performance Series Professional Development Series III: Evaluating Student Progress and Growth

Participants will move beyond learning how to use the Performance Series® program to applying Performance Series data to determine student gains and growth, track student progress toward set goals, and evaluate individual student gains.

Duration: 1 Day (onsite)
Prerequisites: Performance Series Introduction to Data Interpretation and a working knowledge of personal computers.
Description:

Participants will move beyond learning how to use the Performance Series® program to applying Performance Series data to determine student gains and growth, track student progress toward set goals, and evaluate individual student gains.

Audience: This course is recommended for District Administrators, District Training Staff, Testing Administrators, School Administrators, General Education Teachers, and Special Education Teachers.
System Requirements: Customer must provide a classroom‑type environment including:
  • one LCD projector
  • one PC per student
  • high-speed Internet access
Topics:
  • Understand measures of growth
  • Understand Student Gains Reports
  • Track progress using Growth Trajectories
  • Understand cut scores
  • Determine growth expectations
  • Evaluate at-risk student populations
  • Determine trends in data and next steps
  • Work through various activities to improve their understanding
Class Format: Instructor-led workshop with hands-on participation and exercises.
Cost $2,800 * (Instructor expenses included) 
Maximum twenty students.
