Before you install and use the ScanTools® Plus Link Software Development Kit, be sure your system meets these requirements.
To install or uninstall ScanTools Plus Link SDK or ScanTools Plus Link Runtime, the user must have Administrator Rights.
ScanTools Plus Application Development with Score is included with the Link SDK package. Use this to create your ScanTools Plus applications and profiles.

System Notes:
In addition to the requirements listed above, the Scantron OLE DB Provider requires Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 Service Pack 1 or later to be installed on the system. The ScanTools Plus Link SDK installation CD contains a Support folder which has an MDAC 2.8 folder. This contains the program to install MDAC 2.8, if needed.

With no programming effort on your part, the ScanTools Plus data can be imported into Microsoft Excel (32-bit).
With your programming effort and using the Scantron OLE DB provider, you can access scanned data using familiar programming languages. Visual C++ programmers can use OLE DB for increased performance. Java programmers typically use ADO via Windows Foundation Classes (WFC).
ScanTools Plus Link SDK solution programs can be developed using any Windows platform that supports the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM). Scantrondeveloped and tested the Sample applications using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2010.
